LA BOCA RANCH - HEALTHY LAND, HEALTHY PEOPLE

GRADE 5 AT LA BOCA RANCH: PROGRAM OVERVIEW 

An adventure at !  Fifth graders will explore a local food system at a sustainable working farm. They will observe integrated growing methods and get a taste for fresh, nutritious produce. Students will experience, first-hand, issues concerning human and environmental health as it relates to the choices we make about food. They will have the opportunity to meet local farmers, ranch animals, and get their hands in the soil.

Curriculum for prep/follow-up will be provided to teachers.

REGISTRATION 

STEP BY STEP
1. Download the Registration Form document.
2. Save the document to your computer
3. Open the saved document and use the TAB to move between inputs.
4. Complete all required information.
5. Save the document and print for your records.
6. Open a new email message.
7. Attach the saved Registration Form document to the email.
8. Address the email to Sally (sally@durangonaturestudies.org).
9. Send.

NOTES:
- We will make every effort to schedule your class according to your preferences.
- If we have questions, we'll contact you as soon as possible preferably via email or phone.
- We will send you an EMAIL confirmation as soon as possible. Please let us know if you need a snail mail version.

COST AND PAYMENT 

Cost $5.00 per student
Payment CHECKS ONLY made out to Durango Nature Studies.
La Boca Ranch cannot accept money.

ADULT CHAPERONES 

. No dogs are allowed at the La Boca Ranch
. Cell phones and younger siblings are distracting to the learning experience of students
. Please turn off cell phones, and leave Fido and wee ones at home

We ask that you supply at least one adult chaperone (parent or teacher) for each group or 10 to 12. Chaperones are there to assist volunteer naturalists and make the experience as meaningful as possible.
