SUMMER CAMPS

Durango Nature Studies offers serveral summer programs to parents, children, and other area providers.

Parents and Kids:
We offer 5 one-week field sessions at the Durango Nature Center through our popular Junior Naturalist Field Camp. See below for details and registration.

Time 9:00 am - 3:00 pm daily
(with transportation - 8:15 am - 3:30 pm)
Ages of Groups Bobcats - ENTERING grades 1-2
Lynx - ENTERING grades 3-4
Mountain Lions - ENTERING grades 5-6
No of Kids Approximately 8-12 per age group
Price $150/week for camp only
. Each sessions is a week long
. Camp price does not include transportation
(We must have at least a week's notice to refund your payment, minus a $25 cancellation fee)

. Campers meet at 8:15 am at Centennial Plaza (Office Depot)
. Bus leaves at 8:30 am SHARP
. Campers return at 3:30 pm to Centennial Plaza (Office Depot)
. Parent pickup is 3:30

Camp Information . Your child will receive an orientation packet a week before camp starts
. Kids may register for more than one session. Each session will have the same format, but different activities, based upon the topic for the week (see above schedule)
. We hold an all camp cookout on the last day of each camp session. Parents are welcome to attend.
What to bring Backpack, water bottle, change of clothes, towel, bathing suit, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, lunch, snack, water shoes, a smile!
