PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

TEACHER TRAININGS

DNS offers a variety of trainings for teachers. As they become available, we will post them here.

SENIOR NATURALIST TRAININGS

may participate in above teacher trainings. In addition, we offer special trainings and classes specifically for our Senior Naturalists in order to help them continue to develop their naturalist skills. As these trainings become available, we will post them here.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT AND USE

We are often contracted by area schools and organizations to develop curriculum for teachers to use in outdoor learning labs. We work closely with teachers, district science objectives, and state standards to create user-friendly curriculum that supports teachers' needs. Funding must be available to cover staff time.

If groups or oganizations would like to use already created DNS curriculum, they must credit DNS and obtain written permission. If groups or organizations would like to use our extensive volunteer manual outside of DNS programs, you must have written permission and we will discuss a fee on a case by case basis.
